Odysseus

Odysseus

got odd at sea

the ill he had

set cunning free

been growing we’d

running seed

on the lawn

lamenting well

he in ten tonne story fell

and with a yell

OW!

(son he tell)

he make us

learn to spell

he follow hell

en thro djinn warls

sew with salt

four seasons, tent torn thoughts

where he fought

grievance caught

built on empty

he go hoarse

hear siren sound

nee naw dunk key

ought he drowned

but home-earth bound

and oat he found

my pen eloped

with me.

He now see, even to all

why.
