This morning I woke up and thought:

When I was born I had a body and a consciousness within it and I had no stuff.

A lot of the problems I have fallen over in the world have come from me paying too little attention to my body and consciousness and too much to trying to name and organise and own and explain and control stuff, and then seeing either myself or other people as the problem, instead of the stuff or the attitude to stuff.

And it seems like a lot of the problems in the world come from people paying too much attention to stuff and then blaming themselves or other people for it. Instead of realising that the stuff is just there and it happens and the only thing that matters is that we – our bodies and our consciousness (mind or soul or whatever name you want to give it) are ok. So if everyone just focussed on that, the stuff would sort itself out.

And the same thing has been thought and said millions of times before, but it still seemed worth sharing to remind myself and the world.
